THE BEAUTIFUL GAME follows a team of homeless English soccer players, led by their coach Mal (Bill Nighy), who travel from London to Rome to compete in an annual global soccer tournament: the Homeless Soccer World Cup. At the last minute they decide to bring along talented striker VINNY (Micheal Ward), but he must face his own problems and his promising past to help the team win the cup and move on with his own life. In Rome, as in life, everything is at stake.
